The District is seeking a dynamic .5fte Music Teacher at Estacada Middle School for the 2019/2020 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with proper endorsement. Prefer teachers who have a strong support of a continuous learning model in the classroom; support and belief that a system based on "Learning," as opposed to teaching, should be our systems focus; supports proficiency based learning and grading, and is willing to take risks. Successful classroom teaching experience desired. Conduct music accurately and expressively with self-confidence. Meet the District minimum physical, basic skills, and /or health standards for the position. This position covers band and choir classes at Estacada Middle School.

ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Half-time, 191-day probationary contract for the 2019-2020 school year.  

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of an energetic building and departmental team to improve academic growth, promote positive self-concepts, and foster self-esteem in all students. Instructs classes in music so that students develop individual and group skills and an understanding of music.

SALARY:  Salary and placement will be in accordance with the District's salary schedule for licensed employees for the 2019 - 2020 school year, subject to negotiations. (Current schedule for full time is $45,533 - $75,888)
