The Estacada School District is seeking a half-time Occupational Therapist for the 2024/2025 school year.

Position Description: Occupational therapists lead the process in development, implementation, and coordination of the Occupational Therapy program. Screening, evaluation, educational program and transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning is provided for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities or participate in necessary or desired occupations. Professional judgment and clinical knowledge are used to develop individualized programming based on occupational performance deficits in the areas of personal care, student role, interaction skills, process skills, play, community integration/work, and graphic communication.
- Providing Occupational Therapy services related to the identification and support of special education students for the District as requested by the District through direct services, related services, and consultation, as outlined in Individual Education Programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and re-evaluate individual students to determine initial or continued eligibility for special education, as needed.
- Assist school teams in professional development.
- Analyze and assist in creating alternative spaces in each school building.
- Work closely with school personnel in developing classroom sensory and regulating spaces.
- Perform other relevant duties as directed by the District’s Director of Student Services.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of accredited program with a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Hold an Occupational Therapy license in the State of Oregon
- Pediatric experience is preferred
- Demonstrates personal and academic excellence
- Provides a personalized education to improve student performance
- Establishes community partnerships and expands the classroom beyond the school
- Creates a circle of support for each student
- Educates the whole person-intellectually, emotionally, physically, and ethically
- Integrates technology in daily living
- Maintain regular and dependable attendance that is consistent with the district’s standards of attendance
- Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance
SALARY, BENEFITS, CONTRACT
- $55,447-$94,492 (Starting 24/25, dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts; salary shown is for full-time, amount to be prorated based on half-time fte.)
