The Estacada School District is seeking a temporary counselor at Estacada Middle School for the duration of the 2024/2025 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling; Master’s preferred.
- Prefer 3-years recent relevant experience working as a counselor in an educational setting.
- Hold a valid Oregon Personnel License and committed to keeping their license in good standing with TSPC.
- Knowledge of counseling theory and applications, skill in counseling techniques and strategies both for individual and group counseling work.
- Knowledge of and commitment to Oregon’s Educational Act for the 21st Century.
- Unquestioned integrity and a commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Estacada School District.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability.
- Must be flexible and willing to work in person, on campus and/or virtually
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The school counselor works directly with students, strategizes with teams so students are academically, socially, and emotionally successful, plans with the school leadership team for staff development, and communicates with guardians or other stakeholders. The school counselor fosters and builds capacity of the school and the school’s staff to create inclusive practices across school settings. The counselor collaborates with staff to implement academic, social, and emotional support systems of interventions which engage and ensure success for each and every student. The counselor focuses on counseling that is integrated with learning and character education to promote social, emotional and academic progress. The counselor is a part of the “I-Team,” is the Section 504 Case Manager, and assists with creating social emotional, and academic support plans. The counselor provides Tier 2 SEL intervention groups to students that are collaboratively selected, and whole class instruction in Second Step. They are a critical member of the school response team.
SALARY, BENEFITS, CONTRACT
- $55,447-$94,492 (Dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts, pro-rated for actual days worked)
