JOB SUMMARY: The Community Liaison is a pivotal position for the mission of the Estacada School District, as well as to ensure success across the district's strategic plan incorporating Engaged Families & Community Engagement, Strong Inclusive & Collaborative Culture and Sustainable Finances & Accountability.  Under the direction of the Superintendent the community liaison will be responsible for engaging a variety of stakeholders. These stakeholders can consist of advisory groups, community advocates and associated groups, community partners and service providers, city and county staff, faith groups, and other community stakeholders. 

 

The position will facilitate building and maintaining relationships, educating the community on educational initiatives as well as district bond measures. The liaison will forge strategic partnerships to push initiatives related to Career Technical Education, enrichment programs, and district facility updates  while actively working with the alumni association, peer to peer support advocacy and support programs. 

 

This position is directly responsible for regular engagement with various key community members, groups, organizations, and industries. This position is expected to provide a level of expertise, guidance, and consultation for the department in community relationships, partnerships and organization. The liaison will work collaboratively with the Superintendent, Student Services and Communications departments to advance partnership initiatives and ensure cohesive communication and success.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

260 day grant funded position / 8 hours per day; Member of the MAC Group. Salary and placement will be in accordance with the current MAC Group Coordinator Level 1 based upon the 2021/22 Salary Schedule. Benefits are available for this position.  

 

Per the State of Oregon legal requirements: all public and private school teachers, staff and volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. "Fully vaccinated" is defined as 14 days after receiving all required doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine (currently two shots of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or one shot of Johnson & Johnson vaccine). Upon offer or employment,  proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required. Exceptions may be made only for eligible medical or religious reasons. There will not be an option to opt out for other reasons or choose testing in lieu of vaccination, under the state mandate.
